Brazil mastered an incredible return from two sets down to defeat Japan in Tuesday’s quarterfinal match at the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship 2022 in the Netherlands. The South Americans persevered through five tough sets to claim a 3-2 (18-25, 18-25, 25-22, 27-25, 15-13) victory at the Omnisport in Apeldoorn and advance to the semifinals for the sixth time in the history of volleyball’s premier competition. On Thursday, they will take on Italy for one of the spots in Saturday’s gold medal match.
