The Cameroon women’s team has confirmed it will not be able participate in the Volleyball Challenger Cup tournament due to take place in Zadar, Croatia from July 28 to 31. The team’s withdrawal from the competition follows issues in acquiring entry visas to Croatia. As a result, Cameroon will forfeit its quarterfinal match against Puerto Rico on Friday.

The Women’s Volleyball Challenger Cup tournament will take place this week with the quarterfinals to be held on Thursday and Friday, the semifinals on Saturday and medal matches on Sunday. The winners will qualify for the 2023 edition of the Volleyball Nations League.

Cameroon was one of eight countries set to participate in the Women’s Volleyball Challenger Cup tournament, also including Belgium, Colombia, hosts Croatia, the Czech Republic, France, Kazakhstan and Puerto Rico.
